Why Cosyland?

It’s a fundamental strength of our human species that we are cooperative beings.

However, in our current modern and post-modern societies, we are constantly exposed to pressures that distract us or even manipulate and corrupt us from sincerely being in touch with our ‘cooperative nature’.

These pressures have created unhealthy levels of inequality, both globally and within most countries.

Accessing our capacity to cooperating sincerely is not easy in today’s societies. But if we get there, we can live more grounded, fulfilling, and happy lives, sincerely connected with others in thriving communities.

We fully acknowledge the potential of technology to be both conducive, or distract us from unfolding our capacity for sincere cooperation.

If we leave powerful technologies like social media and artificial intelligence to be controlled by big, centralized corporations, there is a huge risk of further descending into polarization, solitude, and fear-driven egoism.

But if we use the transformative potential that these technologies bring for promoting sincere cooperation, we can contribute to building a more fair, peaceful, and fulfilling world for all.

For a deeper understanding of our vision, you can continue exploring the dream of Cosyland, which constantly evolves with the ideas and initiatives that new members bring.

Why Cosy?

Cosy stands for ‘cooperating sincerely‘.

This of course opens the question what we mean by ‘sincerely’.

Rather than attempting a full philosophical explanation, we take a procedural definition:

Anyone is considered cosy, who makes a proactive effort to establish daily practices to get in touch with themselves and to get regular feedback and guidance from others.

We assume that no-one is perfectly sincere, but we can all benefit from becoming more sincere and thereby unfolding our capacity to cooperate sincerely.
